New Head Writer Named for AMC

By Katrina Rasbold
Lorraine Broderick has been appointed new Head Writer for All My Children, at least for the time being reports Daytime Confidential. Broderick worked under the show’s creator, Agnes Nixon, in 1979 and served as co-head writer of AMC from 1987-1988, associate head writer from 1981-1987 and 1988-1991 and as head writer from October 1996 – December 1997. She has also written for Another World, As The World Turns, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light, One Life to Live and Port Charles.
Given the recently ousted Charles Pratt’s extensive experience in prime time TV writing, there is a slight, off-chance, however remote, that we might actually get to see some soapy goodness return to the show.
Maybe. Meh. It could happen.

I’m thinking NOT…unless they also fire Brian Frons, President of ABC Daytime. He needs to at least be impeached!
