I know I haven’t written in awhile. I guess as positive as I come across or think I come across, it’s been a rough time for me. The war, the illness of friends and family, the sadness and the bullying. Frankly, life can suck sometimes. Steve and I have had a bout with illness. Thank goodness we are ok, but it took forever to get there. Little by little, we are both gaining our strength and it’s going to be OK. I am on more medication now than I have been in my entire life. I am not a happy camper, but it has to be. I have accepted that I am no long 21 years old. In my brain I will believe I am, but in reality it’s a no go.
I have heard good things about this site and wanted to make sure to pass it along to you. Let me know if you give it a try and how your experience with it goes. Katrina A little more information about the founder, Will Ross, of www.bidpops.com in his own words: Continue reading Off Topic – A New Auction Site That Might Interest You By Maxine BennettI really cannot believe it’s been so many months since I’ve updated this blog. There is no excuse to use other than lots of wonderful things and events have been going on and now with your permission, I would love to share them with you. Right after the Daytime Emmy Awards, I went on to the GH Fan Club Weekend. I know that the GH Weekend has been written about countless times. However, I just want to agree with 100% of what I have read and tell you it was all that fantastic and a bag of chips. My friends and I worked very hard, but I know I enjoyed every minute of it. Cannot speak for them, but they told me they had fun so I am sticking with their story. Once again, a special thank you goes to .. Jessica, Gail, Kimberly, Bobbie and our new helper Kaylee. Awesome job gang.
By Katrina Rasbold It’s good to be Queen, isn’t it? We all deserve to be Queen of our own lives. I’ll be talking about that a good bit on the new site: Queens Rule www.queensrule.net Link will be in the off topic menu to the right. =====> katrinarasbold.com is still being updated, as [...]
By Victoria Russell So, I kind of don’t want to be writing this. I mean, the only reason I am is because you’ve got to finish what you start, right? And if I didn’t, then I’d be no better than the writers of LOST. Wait…um, so anyways! Final LOST thoughts! Can you believe it? It’s really over! Three months later and the images and stories and actors that have become family are still hanging on in our consciousnesses. For me, finishing this column would be like putting a period on a bad relationship. It’s my favorite analogy, really. The bad relationships are the best ones. Great sex, epic fights, rollercoaster emotions, and the ones that go on for years. That’s how I feel about LOST. I am sad to see it go, but I never want to talk about it again. The Attitudes of Gratitude campaign is still well underway, spreading success, love and unbridled joy throughout life. YOU are invited to participate. This is an interactive site that depends on other people who want to see change in their lives taking part and bettering their world… which is usually my world too, so there [...]
By Victoria Russell Victoria goes to the LOST Live: A Final Celebration Event at UCLA and recaps the event for you (no spoilers)
See,
Here’s the problem I’m having with LOST. A lot of fans are watching it now and saying “I love this episode” or “OMG I loved it when”–Friends, I have to confess I haven’t been loving LOST this final season! Gasp. Shock. Horror, I know. I want to love it–on some level I will always love whatever they do–because it’s ten times better than just about everything else on tv anyway.
By Maxine Bennett From Friends Care to Broadway Cares It’s been more than two months since my niece Rachel passed away. It’s been very difficult for our family. We have been working hard to get through each day. Some days, there is a guilt in my heart when I laugh. How am I allowed to laugh with so much sadness in my heart?
AMERICAN IDOL
It’s hard to believe that it’s only been a year since the beginning of American Idol’s Season 8. Last year was incredible, hatching the already incredible career of one Adam Lambert, introducing us to the extraordinary talent of Allison Iraheta and also the laid-back stylings of singer/songwriter Kris Allen, the “dark horse” title winner. Think Kris wasn’t a bonafide winner? As of today, his “Live Like We’re Dying” is the first single by a male Idol winner to ever crack Billboard’s Top Ten. I’m an Idol dork, I know. I’ve enjoyed it for several seasons but I went a little crazy last year, didn’t miss a moment and even went to a date on their summer tour. I can’t help but watch this year, even if I have exactly no reason to believe it will be anywhere as good as last. After a prolonged audition/Hollywood two month affair, Season 9 has finally brought forth the twelve finalists and I’m looking for a reason to love it. You never know.
By Victoria LOSTIES! How wonderful it is to be back with you all after three long weeks away! I am happy to report things are better in the work world (not perfect, but definitely better!) We have three episodes to review/discuss and I’ve saved the best for last because ya’ll know how much I loved RECON right? RIGHT?!
By Dayna THE OSCARS FASHION COLUMN!! I’m sorry for the delay in posting this column – I have had drama this week up to and including my boss being abruptly fired, my husband’s computer dying, kids getting sick in the middle of the night and the beginning of little league baseball season. |
