Daytime Emmy Award winner Genie Francis returns to her role of Laura Spencer on GH beginning August 26th.  The story is connected to a mental breakdown on Lulu's part.  Francis' return is short term, although she has already voiced an interest in a more permanent arrangement with GH that the show has evidently declined at this time.

Rumors have it that Laura will NOT be coming out of her catatonic state for this return of Genie Francis.  Instead, Laura will appear to Lulu as she goes through a bout of mental illness of her own.  Watch for Lulu's mental stability to deteriorate progressively while she is on the run with Johnny.

The visions of Laura and her guidance are said to be what ultimately brings Lulu back to herself again.
