In life, there are daily choices. Some are very simple and there are those that are extremely difficult. I have had lunch with people who stress over what to eat for lunch. Now for me, silly as it may sound, I pretty much know what I am going to eat for lunch before I see the menu.  I also knew of a gal who would go into a store similar to WALMART and spend 45 minutes deciding if she was going to purchase a pair of white socks. I've always believed that using my time wiser than that was the key. The downside was after going back and forth on whether she purchase the bland white socks, she decided against it. I would have made that decision in 5 seconds. We decide if we believe in God or if we vote Republican, Democrat, or Liberal. Then again, we also decide if we vote.  What about a decision to be happy? What about a choice of being healthy? Do we get that choice? Sure.  Eating right, exercising and having little or no intake of drugs and alcohol should give us the edge on being healthy. But what if after all of listening and "doing the right thing" doesn't work?  I am not saying I have all the answers; however one of my beliefs is mind over matter. If your mind is positive, maybe your body is too.

I
know so many negative people who have their health and even have a few bucks stored away. It baffles me that they are not happy. I've asked them why and they have said things like they don't have enough money. Now really, what is enough? If we wait for what we believe is enough, we'll be dead. I have spoken to people on their death bed and it's not that they were happy knowing they were dying. They were happy knowing that when they were well, they lived. You see in life, we have to choose to live, not just to exist. Money isn't what allows us to live. It's our choice of how to make the most out of life. I believe in using each day to make a difference in my life. By doing so, maybe I am making a difference or helping someone else make a difference in her/his life. We can choose to complain, we can choose to be selfish, but it's so much more productive to decide to wake up each day with a smile on my face and enjoy the day. In life, there are no obstacles.. only options. Make a positive choice with what you've been given. For today that gift of life is your choice.

Oh, mirror in the sky
What is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail thru the changing ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
